The flatware designs of Peter Bäuerle are the perfect synthesis of experience and creativity. In over forty designs, which he completed since 1980 as a designer for WMF, Bäuerle has developed the most diverse designs with astonishing variety and utmost sensitivity. At the same time his range extends from timeless classics through perfect universal flatware to very topical interpretations of zeitgeist themes.
In his design work he adheres to the assertion: By reducing exposing the essential. “Excluding is harder,” he says, “than cramming an abundance of details into a design.” As a result flatware models are created with a clear, characteristic language of shapes, irrespective of which target group they have been designed for.
